Nitrates help to dilate blood vessels thus lowering your blood pressure You can consume beetroot in various ways- I low them raw in salads, or roasted as a side dish Some of my patients prefer to have beetroot juiced with other fruits I would just be careful not to put too many glycemic fruits in with the beet juice
