DECEMBER 3, 2019 URETHRITIS

Urethritis is an inflammation of the urethra . This is the tube through which urine passes out of the body. In can occur in both men and women. In women it is usually caused by a bladder infection whereas in men —it might be a sexually transmitted disease as gonorrhea. In large cities as NYC there is an increase in STD’s due to men using Prep for HIV and not using safe sexual practices as condoms.

In some cases it is non gonorrheal urethritis called non specific urethritis, It is usually caused by chlamydia and other organisms that is non sexually transmitted.

Of course you might need to see a health care practitioner for antibiotics if necessary There are other remedies that can be used in different disciplines of medicine.

In ayurvedic medicine, urethritis can be treated with Hollyhock or drinking coriander seed tea. I have seen both used and are very effective. I prefer to use some urinary antiseptic herbs in the form of a tea or tincture. I have used a combination of these four herbs: yarrow, cough grass, corn silk and uva ursi ( the more common one used of the four )

Be sure to drink plenty of water and take Ester C ( powdered Vitamin C)

Until tomorrow…
