MARCH 26, 2018 COFFEE

Times are changing. There is no data now being written about coffee being considered a superfood because it is rich in antioxidants. There are more antioxidants in coffee than are in blueberries. These antioxidants play a significant role in enhancing brain function, reducing the risk of Alzheimer's Disease, protecting the heart, increasing energy and fighting cancer.

Coffee now is a major player in fighting disease.

Some facts are that  those drinking coffee on a regular basis have a 65 5 less chance of developing Alzheimer's Disease. There is a 60 % less chance of developing Parkinson's disease in daily coffee drinkers. These both are chronic disease with an enormous amount of health care dollars being spent.

The types of cancers that have been studied with coffee are the following: Breast, oral , brain , colorectal , liver , prostate and uterine cancers

Other diseases that have been reducing by the daily use of coffee are diabetes. Coffee helps fight depression , enhance longevity, and reduce the risk of multiple sclerosis

So when you reach for that black coffee without sugar and dairy think about all the great benefits of the ingredients in coffee as cafestol, plant sterols, quinine and chlorogenic acid.

Until tomorrow...
