However, you should not undergo this treatment if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker, are epileptic, or take anti-coagulants. The ThermaVein® Procedure
Because ThermaVein® is non-invasive, no topical numbing cream of anesthesia is required. During treatment, the ThermaVein® probe will be used to compress the vein. A pulse of energy is then sent out, which seals the vein closed. This hinders blood from circulating through the vein, causing it to naturally break down within the body over time. This process is repeated along the vein until full results are achieved. Treatment is quick, taking just 15 minutes to complete. Most patients need just one session for optimal results, though a series may be required in certain cases.
The ThermaVein® Recovery Process
There is no downtime required following your ThermaVein® treatment, so you can feel free to return to your regular activities right away. You may experience temporary redness in the treatment area, which will dissipate with time. Instant results can be noticeable when treating veins, while it may take up to 10 days to see an improvement in vascular blemishes.
